Unpacking Gui Zhi Tang: Gui Zhi Gan Cao Tang

With an eye for this, you may notice patients that put their hands on their chests during your time with them. I've had patients tell me that they always fall asleep with their hands on their chests or that they love for their partner to place their hands on their chest.

The Many Uses of Gui Zhi Tang

One can see that Zhang Zhong-Jing placed this formula at the head of the formulas for the masses. It is worthy of Ke Yun-Bo’s appellation that this is the “Chief formula for the masses.”

How long will Dr. Feng video be available after class?

Dr. Feng will be teaching for 4 days in November.  This class will be live as well as live-streamed.  In addition, the class will be filmed and the video will be made available to participants for a full 5 months after the class. This is really a most amazing opportunity.  Dr. Feng's work clarifies and organizes the Shang Han Lun treatment strategies in the most helpful way I've yet to come across.  Of all the Classic Formula teachers I have studied with, and there have been quite a few, Feng Shi-Lun's methods have had the most positive impact on my clinical abilities to date.  Dr. Feng's interpreter is also a teacher in her own right and has a long term friendship and rapport with Dr. Feng which will add so much to the insight we gain and will make this weekend all the more fun. Feng Shi-Lun: Reeling the Silk and Unraveling the Cocoon

Dr. Feng's approach to the Shang Han Lun is very practical and systematic. The course is organized to go through each of the 6 levels in depth and the material is replete with case studies from Dr. Feng and Dr. Hu Xi-Shu, complete with discussions and explanations.

Introduction to the 10-Month Jing Fang Course

I am giving you a link to a short presentation that introduces the course, professor Feng Shi-Lun, a summary of his approach to classic formulas, the course content and an introduction to our wonderful team of translators who are working on the supplemental material for the course.

Historical and Theoretical Foundations of the Shang Han Lun

For professors Hu and Feng, Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang treats a half interior, half exterior Yin pattern because it treats upper heat with lower cold. This makes it primarily a Jue Yin formula along with Gan Cao Xie Xin Tang and Sheng Jiang Xie Xin Tang.
